Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post calls for strong communication and customer service while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities for a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or local authorities when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with security-related checks, suspicious activity reporting, and/or de-escalation support during customer interactions.
- Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by observing sales floor activity, receiving areas, and/or cash-handling routes, while maintaining a visible presence and following post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
