Security Officer Front Desk Operations Job in Houston, Texas

As a Security Officer Front Desk Operations in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communication. You will help maintain an organized entry area, respond to inquiries, and report concerns promptly. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and access-control requirements at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor the front desk, greet visitors, verify identification and credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
- Coordinate visitor access, communicate entry requirements, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate contacts and designated areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate site personnel.
- Monitor incoming calls, radios, and electronic access systems, and document security-related activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
