As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Administration in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a government aviation location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to airport personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Control entry and exit of authorized personnel, vehicles, and deliveries while maintaining accurate access logs and records.
- Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned airport areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
