Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Perimeter Coverage Job in Houston, Texas

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Perimeter Coverage in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and daily activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and communications with property management and emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
