What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and directing visitors to sign in and/or be escorted per site policy.
• Screen inbound and outbound traffic, including employee vehicles, visitor vehicles, and delivery drivers, by verifying appointments, shipping documentation, and authorized access lists.
• Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and/or other access control systems; document unusual activity and report concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuation, severe weather, and medical response procedures as directed by site policy.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouse space, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activities, access logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes; maintain accurate records for audits and investigations.
• Coordinate with operations staff to support controlled access during shift changes, maintenance work, and special projects, following site rules for restricted areas.
• Assist with key control and/or badge inventory processes as assigned, including logging issuance and recovering credentials when directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
