As a Security Officer Patrol Deterrence in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and help to confirm that entry and exit activity follows site protocols, including screening visitors, checking credentials, and reporting irregularities.
- Support daily operations by completing incident reports, maintaining awareness of site activity, and communicating clearly with employees, contractors, visitors, and/or emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
