Security Officer - Full Time Job in Indianapolis, Indiana

As a Security Officer Full Time X Ray Image Classification in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment to help identify prohibited items, monitor access points, and support a secure, efficient environment. You will interact professionally with employees and visitors, maintain clear communication, and contribute to a positive customer experience. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Screen personnel, visitors, vehicles, and authorized items entering designated logistics and distribution areas in accordance with established security-related procedures.
- Verify identification, credentials, shipping documentation, and access authorization prior to permitting entry to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
