As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people and items, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will use technology to conduct screenings, maintain clear communication, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen personnel, visitors, and authorized items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures; report prohibited, restricted, or unusual items and activity to appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization for entry into controlled operational areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned operational areas, access points, and the facility perimeter; document observations and report security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
