Security Officer - Midday Full Time Job in Indianapolis, Indiana

As a Security Officer X Ray Threat Detection in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel and items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and authorized items entering designated areas in accordance with applicable procedures and site requirements.
- Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry to restricted operational areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading and distribution operations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
