Security Officer - Part Time

As a Screener in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, screen people and property, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting daily operations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with post orders and facility protocols while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
- Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report relevant details to site leadership.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, screening concerns, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
Minimum Requirements:
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
