As a Security Officer X Ray Parcel Examiner in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening packages and personnel, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. Your visible presence and customer-focused communication will help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established screening procedures.
- Verify identification, access credentials, and authorization for personnel and visitors, and report discrepancies to site leadership.
- Monitor screening equipment and access points, maintain required logs, and document unusual activity or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
