Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Job in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Inver Grove Heights, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to site needs with professionalism. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to assigned locations, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and prepare clear, accurate reports.
- Observe and report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to designated site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
