Security Officer Building Access Control Job in Irvine, California

As a Security Officer Building Access Control - Customer Care in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an automotive technical center, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an automotive technical center location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and maintain visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
