Security Officer Gated Community

As a Security Officer Gated Community in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential community location where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and support a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff. This role combines visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication to help address security-related concerns. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first while acting with integrity and teamwork every day.

- Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor authorization, deliveries, and/or service appointments in support of community entry procedures.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors and/or local authorities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
- Document daily activities, access records, and incident information in a clear and timely manner, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or property concerns observed during the shift.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
