Security Officer - Armed Front Desk

As a Security Officer - Armed Front Desk in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a dynamic aerospace and defense setting, you will serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and personnel, managing access control and assisting with badge protocols. You will deliver exceptional customer service, support daily operations, and help to deter security-related incidents through your professional presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to individuals entering and exiting the location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
• Monitor access to the facility, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter disruptive activity and provide support to employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Document and report all security-related incidents and/or unusual activities according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
• Communicate regularly with Allied Universal management and site personnel to relay important information and/or escalate concerns as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military is required.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
