Security Officer Part Time Patrol Driver - City Bus Depot Job in Jamaica, New York

As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and report observations. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with passengers and staff, and respond to situations with integrity. Pay Rate: $21.20 - $22.20 / Hour

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to transit passengers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of bus facilities, transit property, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
- Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry to authorized areas in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to incidents, passenger concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and complete required reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
