Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents, guests, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring a caring, reliable approach, work collaboratively with your team, and act with integrity while helping create a welcoming environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a shelter location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access to the location by checking identification, verifying authorized entry, and directing residents, guests, and vendors in accordance with site procedures.
- Support daily shelter operations by observing resident and visitor activity, communicating professionally during routine and high-stress situations, and completing required logs and incident reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
