As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Screener in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology-focused location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible throughout your assigned area. Your role includes monitoring entrances, interacting with staff and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Conduct screening procedures for individuals entering the tech and media facility to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to inquiries and giving directions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Perform thorough checks of bags, packages, and/or personal items as directed by site protocols.
  • Document and report any irregularities, unusual activity, or security-related concerns according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Maintain a professional presence at screening locations, helping to promote a secure environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and client staff to address security-related matters and support emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
