Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds

Requirements: 1 year Security Experience, Computer Literacy

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas and perimeter to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting the appropriate personnel and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorization when required and assist with directing visitors to approved locations.
• Complete detailed activity, incident and/or shift reports, maintaining accurate logs and communicating relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
