Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Job in Jersey City, New Jersey

As a Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Visitor Management in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a financial institution, you will be the welcoming presence for visitors and employees, supporting access control, monitoring entry activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to maintain a professional environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution front desk while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Monitor access to the location, verify visitor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests according to established procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols as appropriate.
- Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and first responders, escalating security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of visitor activity, incidents, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
- Candidates who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
