Security Officer Warehouse

As a Security Officer Credential Review in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This role combines visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication to help identify and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials and/or permissions as required, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted or employee-only areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with management and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
- Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by observing customer and employee activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following post orders for retail and mall environments.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
