Security Officer Access Management Job in Jonesboro, Arkansas

As a Security Officer Access Management in Jonesboro, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers. You will support security-related operations through attentive customer service and clear reporting. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery appointments, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Help to deter unauthorized access by observing access control systems, challenging unverified individuals in accordance with site procedures, and reporting irregular activity.
- Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Loss prevention experience preferred.
- Access control and badge experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
