As a Airport Law Enforcement Officer - Armed Patrol in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, its travelers, and airport operations. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Position Type: Part Time - Overnight Shift

Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Minimum Qualifications (NO EXCEPTIONS):

To be considered, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
  • Must provide valid and verifiable credentials at the time of application

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Law Enforcement Officer License
  • 22+ years of age

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the airport property and perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and controlling access as required by site protocols.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Assist with crowd control and/or direct individuals during emergencies or high-traffic periods.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or airport personnel when necessary to address security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Must possess an armed guard card or license as required by law.
  • Must be at least 22 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
