Airport Security Officer: Dispatch/CCTV Job in Kahului, Hawaii

As an Airport Security Officer: Dispatch/CCTV in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to alarms and using technology to document observations. Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
- Airport Security Experience: 1+ years
- 21+ years of age
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
- Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
- NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, airport personnel, and other stakeholders while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorization when assigned, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate observations to supervisors and designated airport representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
