As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, respond to alarms, and provide outstanding customer service. Using communication and technology skills, you will help maintain a secure environment for travelers, visitors, and staff. Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
- 1+ years of Airport Security Experience
- 21+ years of age
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established airport and government facility protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, access points, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, access-control concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
