Security Officer Access Point Driver

As a Security Officer Access Point Driver in Kankakee, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer in a driving post. In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, support site access procedures, and conduct routine patrols while staying visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other access-related activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter access points, as permitted by site policy.
- Report maintenance concerns, unusual activity, and other security-related issues observed during the shift to help support orderly operations and help to deter unauthorized access.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
