Security Officer Access Compliance

As a Security Officer Access Compliance in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment. In this Access Control role, you may conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical processing location.
- Monitor access control points by checking identification, screening entry authorizations, and documenting arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, operational areas, and the perimeter, with awareness that working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Support site operations by observing for unusual activity, reporting potential hazards or policy violations, and helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
