Security Officer Access Management Job in Kansas City, Missouri

As a Security Officer Access Management in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and support a welcoming, professional environment. Your visible presence, clear communication, and customer service will help deter security-related incidents while supporting site operations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities-related location.
- Monitor and control access to facilities, restricted areas, and operational spaces by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and following established entry and exit procedures.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, gates, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and access-related documentation while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
