Security Officer Visitor Authorization

As a Security Officer Visitor Authorization in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations through routine patrols, visible presence, and strong customer service. In this role, you will assist with screening entry, communicating clearly with staff and visitors, and contributing to a caring, reliable, and team-driven environment built on integrity and innovation.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and facility personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor and help manage entry and exit points for employees, contractors, vendors, and delivery personnel by checking credentials, reviewing authorizations, and directing individuals according to site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, visitor records, trailer and vehicle information, and other required documentation related to access control and security-related operations at the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may need attention.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
