As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and assist staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Minimum 1 year or more of Security experience required

Must be comfortable using computers or tablets

Must be able to pick up additional hours when needed

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the location, including entrances, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter areas, as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor access points and help manage the flow of employees, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
  • Observe for unusual activity, hazards, damaged doors or gates, and/or unauthorized persons, and report findings promptly through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site leadership and/or public services when needed.
  • Complete routine and incident reports with clear, accurate details, including times, actions taken, and notifications made.
  • Use radios, phones, and/or other communication tools to coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by monitoring designated areas for security-related concerns and documenting exceptions per site policy.
  • Perform checks of secured areas after hours as directed, helping to confirm doors, gates, and restricted areas are in the expected condition.
  • Maintain a professional presence that helps to deter unwanted activity while following all site rules and customer service expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
