Security Officer Armed - Inmate Transport Job in Kissimmee, Florida

As a Security Officer Armed - Inmate Transport in Kissimmee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Professional supporting a government corrections location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post offers the opportunity to provide professional communication and customer service while supporting facility operations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and individuals in custody by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points and movement within assigned areas in accordance with facility procedures, documenting and reporting unusual activity or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facility areas and perimeter, observing conditions and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or a college degree.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
