- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, patients, and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe activity in waiting areas, hallways, and other common spaces, reporting concerns and documenting security-related incidents according to site procedures.
- Assist with traffic flow, visitor guidance, and de-escalation support when appropriate, helping maintain order during routine operations and/or high-volume periods.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue environment.
- Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment when required.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
