Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Job in Kutztown, Pennsylvania

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Kutztown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
- Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, directing visitors and delivery personnel, and maintaining required visitor and vehicle records.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Document patrols, incidents, and policy violations in accurate daily activity reports and complete required shift handoffs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
