Security Officer - Screening Coordinator

As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor assigned areas, screen people and/or materials, and support routine patrol activity while remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role offers the chance to provide outstanding customer service and communication in a fast-moving environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unusual activity, prohibited items, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken in required logs and/or reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for conditions that could impact operations or require a security-related response.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
