Security Officer - Retail Plaza Driving Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Plaza Driving Patrol in La Jolla, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in the job state and compliance with AU driver policy requirements. Guided by integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture, you will make a meaningful impact every day.

- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, property concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to Allied Universal guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and/or contractor activity, and communicate with property management regarding security-related issues or unusual conditions.
- Complete required reports and document incidents, patrol activity, and/or maintenance-related observations in a timely and accurate manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
