What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, medical emergencies, and/or fire and life event alarms, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare buildings, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas, checking identification and/or access credentials as required, and direct visitors to appropriate destinations based on site procedures.
• Complete security-related incident reports and daily activity logs with clear, factual details, and communicate pertinent information during shift handoff.
• Observe and report hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unsecured doors, and coordinate with hospital operations, nursing units, and/or facilities teams for follow-up.
• Provide de-escalation support for disruptive behavior, maintaining professional boundaries and requesting additional assistance when needed.
• Operate security-related systems such as radios, phones, and surveillance equipment to support situational awareness and timely response.
• Assist with patient and/or visitor wayfinding, including after-hours access guidance, while helping to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality expectations.
• Working environments and conditions may vary by location, including indoor and outdoor patrol, varied shift schedules, and periods of standing and walking.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
