Security Officer - Residential Access Specialist

As a Security Officer - Residential Access Specialist in Laguna Niguel, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer, where you'll play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a prestigious residential community. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting regular patrols, and remaining highly visible throughout the location. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the residential location.
• Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of residents, guests, and/or vendors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document and report any irregularities or unusual situations in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist residents and/or visitors with inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, following site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort with using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
