As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Corrections in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a corrections setting. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to situations as they arise. This armed post requires you to carry and responsibly manage a firearm while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to support a collaborative and respectful atmosphere. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies at the location, providing customer service to all individuals encountered.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or disturbances.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior and report findings according to established procedures.
• Assist with access control by verifying identification and maintaining logs as required.
• Support emergency response activities by coordinating with local authorities and following established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior within the corrections environment.
• Document all incidents, observations, and/or interactions in detailed security-related reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a valid Corrections Officer License and/or Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Have at least 2 years of experience in law enforcement, military, or corrections, or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
