Security Officer Airport Rover Part Time

As a Airport Security Officer in Lanai, HI, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Full Time - Afternoon
Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

- Valid Driver's License
- 21+ years of age
- Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
- Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to the appropriate personnel in accordance with site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public access areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify permitted entry when required, and document security-related concerns, hazards, and unusual activity.
- Support public-facing operations by offering directions, answering general questions, and assisting with orderly movement of people during routine operations and/or emergency situations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or credentialed access points, verifying authorized entry and reporting unusual behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations.
- Support location operations by assisting travelers, visitors, and staff with directions and general information while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions and reporting hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
