As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Perm Hospital CPO in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, exceptional customer service, and teamwork. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
- Perform armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to government property, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor screening and entry procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and reporting requirements.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
- Possess a valid Corrections Officer License.
- Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
