As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Correctional Facility in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer working in a corrections environment, where you will conduct regular patrols throughout the location, helping to deter security-related incidents and create a secure atmosphere for all individuals present. As this is an armed post, your presence and professionalism play a key role in maintaining order. What You'll Do:

• Carry out security-related procedures and adhere to site-specific policies while providing customer service in a corrections location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgment and de-escalation techniques.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote compliance with facility rules.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
• Coordinate with facility staff and local law enforcement when appropriate during emergency response activities or critical events.
• Remain alert to potential security-related hazards and report any observed irregularities or suspicious behavior promptly.
• Carry and operate assigned firearms and other equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A corrections officer license is required.
• A law enforcement officer license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
