Armed Security Officer - City Services

As a Armed Security Officer - City Services in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to verify entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols, offering directions and assistance while reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy concerns.
- Support daily operations by preparing reports, recording observations, and relaying important information during shift changes to help maintain continuity of security-related services.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
