Armed Security Officer - Protection Patrol Job in Las Vegas, Nevada

As a Armed Security Officer - Protection Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate professionally with visitors and staff. This role offers the opportunity to apply your armed experience while delivering exceptional service through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable site procedures and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, courtyards, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required documentation, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and local emergency responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
