Armed Security Officer Perimeter Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol Driver in Laurinburg, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government location as an armed and driving officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. - Provide customer service to individuals at a government location by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting activity through established channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, controlled access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support movement control procedures in accordance with location protocols.
- Maintain readiness for an armed post by following post orders, handling assigned equipment in accordance with training, and communicating professionally with staff, visitors, and/or law enforcement when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
