Security Officer - Access Control Specialist

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Lavonia, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, check badges, and conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Assist with controlling access to the location by verifying credentials and/or authorization for entry.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting visitors at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, issues, or concerns as outlined in site-specific protocols.
• Support Allied Universal management and site leadership in carrying out emergency response activities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
