Security Officer - Access Control Credential Audit Job in Leesburg, Virginia

As a Security Officer Access Control Credential Audit in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology data center location. Monitor entry points, verify access credentials, maintain accurate visitor and access records, and communicate professionally with employees, guests, and site personnel. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor entry records, and help maintain accurate access-control documentation in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, exterior areas, and the business perimeter, reporting unusual conditions, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related concerns.
- Support the protection of critical infrastructure by following established procedures for contractor escorts, deliveries, restricted areas, and incident reporting.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess a college degree.
- Type at least 40 words per minute.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
