Security Officer - Credential Verification Associate

As a Security Officer Credential Verification Associate in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic technology location where you will help manage access control operations, monitor assigned areas, and support a professional environment. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by a caring culture, teamwork, reliability, and integrity, you will play an important part in supporting daily security-related operations.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns through appropriate communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
- Support badge and key control processes, assist with screening and access requests, and complete detailed reports related to incidents, observations, and daily activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- A college degree is required.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
