Security Officer Full Time Access Rights Administrator Job in Leesburg, Virginia

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Rights Administrator in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a technology-focused location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and support controlled entry and exit processes for sensitive areas.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, building areas, and the perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns or unauthorized activity.
- Document incidents, access-control activities, and policy exceptions accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Possess a college degree.
- Type at least 40 words per minute.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
