Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Patrol Job in Leesburg, Virginia

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Literacy in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic government education location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
- Respond to incidents, student or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, provide directions, and help maintain an orderly environment for educational operations.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports; communicate observations and relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
