As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Armed in Leesburg, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Perform armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Screen visitors, staff, and permitted items in accordance with site procedures, and report concerns or prohibited items to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using clear communication with site contacts and/or first responders.
- Complete routine and random patrols, maintain accurate activity and incident documentation, and follow post orders for access control and restricted areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
